Slingin' Dirt !!

March 2008:  The team is anticipating an exciting year.  The long winter of preparation is over, and the new season of racing has begun.  Now in his fourth year of limited sprints competition, Stewart is looking forward to building on the momentum he was gaining at the end of last year. 

Stewart is fielding the same car that he rolled off the trailer, untested, and won a heat race with late last summer.

Winter 2006-2007: Third year 358 "limited" sprint car owner/driver Stewart Smith capped off a challenging 2006 racing seaon on September 22nd with a career high 8th place finish in the feature at Williams Grove.  His inspiring finish in the final race culminated a comeback from some serious adversity. 

The team experienced a devastating setback in July when the primary car was "used up" in a crash at Lincoln.  Stewart was forced to field his back up car,an untested Eagle chassis, after losing the use of a reliable Maxim car.  It was a heroic effort by Alan and the crew to get the backup ride ready for the race.  The team struggled with achieving a comfortable setup with the different chassis, but some timely advice from Rusty (a veteran of sprint competition who made the long haul from New Jersey each week) got the program back on track.

Many thanks to all the sponsors and supporters who helped to keep the effort on track.  We look forward to seeing Stewart, Alan, Jimmy, Randy, Rusty, Sean, and Marla  carry the positive momentum into the new seaon in 2008!
